Stamford ISD Enrollment for All Returning Students (PreK-12th Grade)

REGISTERING RETURNING STUDENTS TO Stamford ISD:

How to register RETURNING (any grade) STUDENT(S) to Stamford ISD: You will need an Ascender Parent Portal Account. You will use the same account to check your child's grades or attendance last school year.

If you do not have an account: Go to STAMFORD ISD ASCENDER PARENT PORTAL. Click “CREATE ACCOUNT." You will need an email address. If you do not have an email address, you can create a free one on the Gmail website.

You will need your Parent Portal ID to add your child. You can contact the campus secretaries listed below to receive this ID.

If you already have an ASCENDER PARENT PORTAL account, log in to your account. You will get a pop-up showing Registration in Progress, and you can Resume Registration. You will also see a button you can click on under the Summary Option, under the Navigation menu on the left side of the screen.

Suppose you do not see a place to register your child. In that case, the email address for your Parent Portal Account does not match the email address we have in our Student Information System, and you will need to contact the campus secretary or the administration secretary. If you have any other issues, please contact us. We will assist you in registering your child for the School Year.

REGISTERING NEW STUDENTS TO Stamford ISD:

How to register NEW (any grade) STUDENT(S) to Stamford ISD: If you are new to Stamford ISD, you will need to create a Parent Portal account.

GO TO: STAMFORD ISD ASCENDER PARENT PORTAL, then click “CREATE ACCOUNT." You will need an email address. If you do not have an email address, you can create a free one on the Gmail website.

If you already have an ASCENDER PARENT PORTAL account, log in to your account, then click My Account in the top right corner, and then “ENROLL A NEW STUDENT”.

When filling in emergency contact information, please list 2 emergency contacts besides the parent/guardian.

AFTER ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION IS ENTERED THROUGH OUR ONLINE NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION, the legal parent or guardian will then need to take ALL required documentation (listed below) to either Oliver Elementary (PreK-5th grade), Stamford Middle School (6th-8th grade), or Stamford High School (9th-12th Grade).

Documentation needed for NEW TO THE DISTRICT registration:

Child’s Original
Birth Certificate
Immunization Records
Child’s Original Social Security Card
Parent/Guardian valid/unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, or state ID.
Pre-Kindergarten - You must fill out the Socioeconomic Information Form. Print the form, fill it out, and return it to the Oliver Elementary Office.

Pre-Kindergarten Information: Eligible children must be four years old on or before September 1, (current year), and meet one or more of the following qualifications:

Unable to speak and comprehend English
Qualify for free or reduced lunches
Classified as homeless
Is a dependent child of an active duty member of the US Armed Forces
Is a dependent child of a US Armed Forces member injured or killed while serving on active duty
Is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing

ALL Pre-Kindergarten - Must fill out the Socioeconomic Information Form. You can either fill out the form online below or print off a copy and return it to the Oliver Elementary Office.
